The Brewers Association (BA) is proud to announce the release of the 2013–2014 Brewers’ Resource Directory (BRD), which mailed to all BA members on February 7. This edition of the BRD again includes highlights of the Benchmarking and Best Practices Survey and for the first time, highlights from a comprehensive beer industry salary survey.
The 2012 survey was revised slightly from the 2010 edition to include more concise financials, salary data broken down by employee type and new looks at raw materials and brewery efficiencies. The results were compiled and aggregated by BA Technical Brewing Projects Coordinator Chris Swersey. These results provide a valuable set of tools specific to America’s small and independent craft brewers. The hard data allows members to focus on efficiencies and benchmarks that they can use to measure business results and in turn be more successful. Readers will find great value in comparing 2012 and 2010 results.
Results of the entire salary survey and remaining non-salary survey questions will be available in the Benchmarking and Best Practices Survey results in the Members-Only section of BrewersAssociation.org, with two more sections to follow in a few weeks. These are available as an exclusive member benefit. Data posted to the website covers the additional topics that did not fit in the BRD.
